FAKING IT

October 14, 2012

We’re not really enthusiasts of wood imitations because we believe that wood is a natural material that is perfectly imperfect in its natural state and cannot be copied in a print. But we couldn’t resist posting about these cushions. How brilliant are they?

So this time we invite you to fake it ’til you make it with the Plywood and OSB cushions by Stockholm-based design duo How Are You from their Making Hard Things Soft collection. The recently launched collection consists of prints of hard materials such as plywood, concrete, brick, and stones on cushions and making them soft. The 50cm x 50 cm handmade cushions are printed in Sweden and are made from heavy 100% cotton canvas.

This may very well be deception at its best.
