SCANDIVINTAGE
January 31, 2013
We obsess slightly over interiors with a white base and patterns/colour that give it a pop, but this home made us a little extra excited.
High gloss white floors, pops of electric blue, iconic furniture and funky retro fabrics create a modern take on Scandinavian vintage. This lovely apartment is designed by Helsinki and Paris-based interior designer Linda Bergroth, who has clearly kept to Nordic tradition of less is more, while fusing bold and unpredictable ideas to create a space that is fresh and stylish. The mix of patterns and colours on the textiles (check out the Aralia fabric by Svenskt Tenn as seen on the sofa) creates a harmonious whole that stands out beautifully against the white high gloss wood floor. We love the clash between pattern, print and happy colour, set against a white background. It is a little different and unexpected!
Kährs new Shine Collection includes Opaque, a gorgeous white high-gloss floor that is anything but plain.
