Basta! is a new restaurant established by Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur David Myers inside the recently opened Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai. The ambiance is further enhanced by the vintage Kährs Oak Sparuto wood floor installed in a customised herringbone pattern.

We’ve had our Kahrs floor in the Fronteriors Studio since 2019, and it’s still the standout feature of our space. Not only does it look amazing, but it’s incredibly durable too. It’s withstood an office relocation, a major water leak, and two of Dubai’s epic rainstorms (leaky windows included)—and it’s held up impressively well given the circumstances. Despite the manufacturer’s recommendations, we didn’t schedule a single maintenance session until this year when we asked the Nordic Homeworx team in for a refurb and deep clean. The results blew us away—our floor looks brand new again. Safe to say, this floor has passed every test (even the unexpected ones) and we highly recommend Nordic Homeworx for excellent quality and exceptional customer service.

They were Meticulous with the installation and respectful the whole time they were doing the work. Also thankful to Metreen and Taha as well for all their support prior to the installation as well as during and after too. Good experience, highly recommend.

They found exact matching floor boards and the repairs done by their team was seamless.
