The Nordic CabinDowntown Design, Dubai Design District
Created for Downtown Design 2025, the Nordic Cabin was born from a simple idea: to bring the feeling of the Swedish forest into the heart of Dubai.
Inspired by the forests of Småland, home to the Kährs factory since 1857, the space was designed by Styled Habitat to capture a sense of stillness, warmth and connection to nature. Clad entirely in Kährs Urban Brown wood flooring, the cabin brought together natural materials, considered design and Scandinavian craftsmanship to create a space that felt warm, tactile and alive. A little piece of the forest, and a reminder that everyone deserves to feel at home.
The Nordic Cabin was brought to life together with Kährs, Ikonhouse, Viabizzuno, Fronteriors, Oryx Doors & Windows, Quooker Emirates, Sloo Ceramics and Biscuit.
In 2026, the Nordic Cabin was recognised at the Commercial Interior Design Awards, with Styled Habitat taking home the award for Best Event, Pop-Up or Installation.
