Our Humble Beginnings
This year marks 20 years since Amir and I opened the doors to Nordic Homeworx from a small warehouse in Al Quoz. Back then, it was just the two of us, a handful of passionate colleagues, and a clear belief in what we wanted to build, even if the market wasn’t quite ready for the type of flooring solutions we envisioned.
At a time when luxury interiors were defined by marble, shine and excess, we quietly introduced something different: engineered wood flooring rooted in Scandinavian design values. Warmth, simplicity and longevity. It was a leap of faith, but one driven by purpose. From the very beginning, we weren’t interested in growing fast for the sake of growth. We wanted to grow right.
This vision laid the foundation for the team, culture, and approach that would carry Nordic Homeworx forward.

Building Nordic Homeworx Together
Two decades later, what makes me most proud isn’t just how far we’ve come, but the way our team and values have grown alongside the company. Today, Nordic Homeworx is a team of close to 90 people, delivering hundreds of timber and engineered wood projects every year across the Middle East.
Many of our colleagues have been with us almost from the start, growing alongside the company, shaping it and carrying its values forward every single day. Their commitment, skills and belief in what we do are the foundation of everything we’ve achieved. Each project, no matter the scale, is treated with the same care and respect. Because for us, it’s never just about flooring, it’s about how a space makes you feel when you live in it.
Alongside growth comes responsibility to our clients, our partners, and our team. This responsibility is guided by our core values.

Guiding Values and Looking Ahead
Building a company far from where we started wasn’t always easy. There were challenges, uncertainties and moments where the path forward wasn’t clear. But we’ve always returned to the same guiding principles: trust, long-term thinking and putting people first. Our team, our partners and our clients. That sense of belonging and shared purpose is something we’ve worked hard to cultivate internally and it continues to define who we are today.
Looking back, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the opportunities we’ve been given, for the relationships we’ve built, and for the incredible team that has stood by us through every phase of the journey. Nordic Homeworx has never been just a business to us. It’s always been something very personal.
It’s been 20 years but it still feels like we’re only just getting started.
