Flooring Designs Everyone Loved in 2025
January 16, 2026

What our clients, both homeowners and interior designers chose in 2025, and why
Looking back, one thing is clear: our clients continue to value natural beauty and thoughtful design. From light, clean oak flooring to a growing demand for high-quality, sustainable LVT flooring, last year’s most-loved floors reflect a desire for interiors that feel calm and grounded.
Here’s a closer look at the flooring choices that captured everyone’s attention in 2025.

Light Oak Flooring: A Firm Favourite for Clean, Minimalist Interiors
Not surprisingly, our oak floors continue to take centre stage. In particular, Studio Oak AB White, Herringbone Oak AB Crème White and Oak Paris were our most popular wood flooring options of the year.
These flooring designs have a couple of things in common: light tones, a white oil or matt lacquer finish and a clean, natural expression that works beautifully across most interiors. Whether specified in wide planks or elegant herringbone, clients consistently gravitate towards oak floors that feel warm and understated rather than rustic or heavy.
Designers such as Dipuigi, BBH, C’Est ici, EMKAAN and Leila Khalil, among others, frequently specify these lighter oak flooring for their ability to anchor a space without dominating it.
Also ranking in our the top five is the Oak Urban Brown wood flooring, which is showcased across our 600 sqm Nordic Homeworx showroom. This proves even more that expressive oak flooring can feel modern when balanced with the right finish and interior palette.

Herringbone Flooring: Timeless Luxury That’s Here to Stay
Patterned flooring designs continue to be a designer favourite, and 2025 was no exception. In fact, around one-fifth of our projects this year included a Herringbone or Chevron layout, and the demand for our custom floors almost doubled in the past two years.
The appeal is easy to understand. Design studios such as Nakkash, Cavalry DXB and Creating Homes regularly specify our herringbone oak flooring to introduce movement and texture. This flooring design pattern adds visual interest while remaining elegant and timeless, enhancing a space without overwhelming it. As a result, it blends seamlessly in residences such as apartments, villas, as well as in commercial projects.

Sustainable LVT Flooring: A Growing Preference
While wood flooring remains at the heart of what we do, 2025 also marked a significant shift in LVT. We doubled our sales of high-quality LVT flooring, driven largely by the launch of Kährs’ Sensation Collection earlier in the year.
Our clients are becoming increasingly informed and selective, and they value LVT flooring solutions that go beyond aesthetics. Low-carbon, low-emission, sustainability-certified and fully recyclable, our LVT flooring resonates strongly with homeowners and designers looking for durability without compromise.
The standout star was Fusion flooring design from the Sensation Collection, loved for its calm oak look and the fact that it comes in plank, chevron and herringbone patterns, a first for a Kährs LVT floor collection. Designers such as Masoomeh Hilal, Estilo Blanco and Interior Takeover were among those who introduced Fusion floors in their projects where value, aesthetics, and sustainability were equally important.

How Our Flooring Designs Shape Interiors and Tell Your Story
The most loved floors of 2025 tell a clear story: clients want materials that feel authentic, responsible and timeless. Light oak, herringbone patterns and next-generation sustainable LVT flooring designs are shaping interiors that are both beautiful and practical.
As we move forward, we’re excited to continue guiding our clients and design partners towards flooring choices that not only look good today, but still feel right many years from now.
