This palette from Jotun’s 2018 collection includes colours such as the pale grey Bare; the rich brown Norwegian Wood; and warm beige Raw Canvas – “inspired by Copenhagen and London, Brooklyn and Berlin – all pockets of modernity, brimming with creative culture” and epitomises cool, clean lines balanced with softness and warmth. Where industrial meets comfort.
Kährs Oak Granite is the perfect combination of both. The cool cement-grey stain on this smoked oak floor allows the warmer tones of the wood to seep through, resulting in a beautifully rustic expression. Each board is carefully brushed to bring out the character of the grain and highlight the natural texture of the timber. The matt lacquer finish eliminates glare while protecting the wood from daily wear.
Kährs Oak Granite 3-strip is currently available in stock in Dubai. Visit our showroom in Sidra Tower or contact us on tel. +971 4 369 55 69 for more information.
Pantone have announced their colour of the year fo 2018: Ultra Violet. A complex colour with lots of attitude and a high-tech/futuristic feel.
It can be a little overwhelming to decorate with- so to create a light yet layered cosy feeling, we recommend combining a variety of violet shades with light creams, greys, whites and touches of green in diverse natural textures and materials.
Our latest Floor of the Month, Kährs Oak Pale, has the perfect white stain with a warm undertone, which will balance out the richness of the violets.
Inspired by our new Floor of the Month for April, we are loving warm, burnt yellow and golden sun-kissed tones inspired by honey and ripe rye during harvest time, combined with earthy hazelnut tones and crisp whites for a fresh yet grounded spring feeling.
Our Floor of the Month, Kährs Oak Siena FSC® has a calm appearance with a certain degree of variation in the grain. A true Swedish classic that will never go out of style.
We are feeling really inspired by soft and lustrous nude tones in interiors; the combination of pale pinks, beiges, greys and whites. Airy linens and cottons juxtaposed with the roughness of wood and stone; creating a romantic, harmonious and timeless interior that has a cozy layered feeling.
The perfect floor to complete the romantic look is our next Floor of the Month, Kährs Oak Dew. This rustic floor by Kährs Harmony Collection brings a sense of freshness and cozy ambiance to any interior. Combined with the floor’s distinctive wood texture, the white nature oil patina provides a fresh ambiance reminiscent of a dewy field on an early summer morning. This floor is guaranteed to enhance an exclusive sensation of your habitat.
Kährs Oak Dew will be offered at a special 20% discount during all of September and available in stock in Dubai. Contact us on tel. +971 4 369 55 69 for more information.
We absolutely love the look of this loft apartment. Creating a loft feeling means keeping the decor fairly minimalist, while using diverse raw materials for a textural and tactile variety. Create contrasts with a common denominator – preferably selecting materials with a slight vintage essence to them that converted old factory spaces often have to them.
The key, however, lies in the foundations- meaning the floor, the walls, the influx of natural light as well as the overall architecture and working around these to create an authentic loft feeling. Kährs Vedbo (pictured) has a natural oak colour with enhanced contrast and warmth; and golden tones from honey and ripe rye during harvest time.
We suggest combining the rustic Kährs Vedbo wood flooring with a White Brick wallpaper by Mr Perswall (D.Tales), a funky Molecular Pendant Lamp by House Doctor (The Bowery Company), and other neutral furniture and decor. Allow for pops of colour – in limited quantities – displayed in artwork, such as pop-artsy posters (Gallery One).
A great general tip for artwork is to invest in some nice frames with real glass. Light will beautifully reflect off the glass, increasing the sense of space and light while showcasing and enhancing the art displayed. You may also choose to leave your frames on the floor rather than hanging them on the walls- leaning them casually against a wall and stacked one in front of the other.
Living in Dubai, we’re fortunate to be in a part of the world that lies between beautiful tropical jungles and cultured urban cities. So why not reflect a combination of both styles in our homes?
We’re currently feeling inspired by tropical greens with a clean and minimalistic urban twist. We suggest updating the typical tropical deco by combining our pure white Kährs Ash Alabaster wood flooring with large green leafy plants, white linen and cotton furniture and small green marble accents; as well as an abundance of neutral tones, natural light and large open spaces to maintain that bright, airy and tropical holiday feeling.
A perfect combination creating that urban tropicana vibe.
We’re feeling super inspired by warm grays for the summer. Update a traditional monochrome, neutral-toned look with an injection of warm grays, whites and blacks to create a modern yet Scandinavian interior design scheme perfect for the upcoming summer season.
Select our new Kährs Oak Nouveau Gray wood flooring to complete the look. This floor has a light gray stain with earth tones that works well as a base for a variety of interior styles. The sapwood elements breathe life and variation into the surface.
